The Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival Call for Exhibitors & Performers Now Open

Monday, May 4, 2015The Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival Exhibitors Application and Performers Application are now available online. The Festival will be held Saturday, September 19th, 2015, from 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m and is organized by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation. This is a juried festival. Only original artwork, photography, handmade jewelry, and crafts are allowed. No commercial merchandise will be accepted, unless it is incredibly unique and environmentally friendly in nature. Food vending is not allowed. Performances of all types will be welcomed for the mainstage. We welcome submissions from throughout the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.

Arts District Hyattsville Hosts 3rd Annual Art Festival

Emerging Arts Community on Route 1 Saturday May 22, 2010

HYATTSVILLE, MD–(Marketwire – March 26, 2010) – The 2nd Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival last year drew over 1,100 guests to mix and mingle with the area’s most talented artisans. This year, EYA, Arts District Hyattsville and the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation are hosting the Third Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival along Route 1 and Longfellow Street on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 11 AM – 5 PM. 

50 local visual and performing artists, along with craft and jewelry vendors will gather along neighborhood streets in Arts District Hyattsville — the DC area’s hottest new townhome community inspired by the talented arts district in Hyattsville. The afternoon will feature performances by musicians, dancers, and street performers, and guests can stroll the sidewalks to view and purchase original artwork by DC Metropolitan-area artists.

Visit ArtDC.org’s new studio & gallery space in The Lustine Center and enjoy delicious food and drink by Hyattsville-based Franklin’s Restaurant & Brewery and ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s. Arts District Hyattsville’s own Café Azul will also be open serving Latin-inspired cuisine and Mayorga coffee. And join Busboys and Poets, Tara Thai, and Yes! Organic Market as exhibitors discussing their plans to open stores at Arts District Hyattsville in Spring 2011.

2nd Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival

 

The 1st Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival last year drew over 1,100 guests to mix and mingle with the area’s most talented artisans.

 

This year, EYA, Arts District Hyattsville and the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation are hosting the Second Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival along Route 1 and Longfellow Street on Saturday, May 16th, 2009 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. 

 

35 local visual and performing artists, along with craft and jewelry vendors will gather along neighborhood streets in Arts District Hyattsville – the DC area’s hottest new community inspired by the talented arts community in Hyattsville. It is also the future home of the newest location for Busboys and Poets – a regional favorite restaurant, café, bookstore, and performance venue. Busboys and Poets will be onsite serving food, as will Hyattsville-based Franklin’s Restaurant & Brewery and ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s.

 

The afternoon will feature performances by musicians, dancers, and street performers, and guests can stroll the sidewalks to view and purchase original artwork by local D.C. and Prince George’s County artists. ArtDC.org will also provide art activities in The Lustine Center.
