The City of Hyattsville is a diverse and welcoming community that celebrates our small town character, urban energy, and environmental stewardship. The mission of the City of Hyattsville is to provide leadership and effective services that enhance our quality of life and achieve our vision. The City of Hyattsville Department of Recreation is responsible for providing City residents with cultural and recreational activities that promote a sense of community and foster civic pride. The Department offers numerous events and activities throughout the year as well as oversees the operations of City Parks and Ballfields.

Washington City Paper's Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair
Now in its 14th year, Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair is an exhibition and sale of handmade goods from independent artists presented by the Washington City Paper.
Crafty Bastards' annual fall festival will take place outdoors in Washington, D.C. on Saturday,November 11 and Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Nationals Park, 10 AM - 5 PM both days.

Maryland State Arts Council
With a celebrated record of commitment to innovation, collaboration and leadership in the arts reaching back four decades, the Arts Council was founded to encourage and invest in the arts for all Marylanders. With a strong record of support for artists, arts programs and organizations, MSAC continues its work to build an even stronger creative community.
The Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival (organized by the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation) is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. An agency of the Department of Business & Economic Development, the MSAC provides financial support and technical assistance to non profit organizations, units of government, colleges and universities for arts activities. Funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

This program brings information about these “milestones” to the public and makes connections between the history, culture, and nature of the region. Additionally, the Maryland Milestones brand emphasizes the importance travel, trade, and communication have played in the region – through turnpikes, highways, parkways, aviation, telegraphs, and train travel. This program will include updated signage, information kiosks, a heritage center, and interpretive program trails.

Studio 3807 by Landex Development
Savor at 3807 will be actively engaged in the Gateway Arts District using its space to promote both the visual and performing artist. “Savor at 3807 will be a safe space where people can come to enjoy and discuss great food and fabulous art,” says Peter Siegel, CEO of Landex Development, LLC. “We are extremely excited to be partnering with Local Integration. Commitment to community is important for Landex and we want our partners to have that same approach, vision and love; April’s team is a perfect match for Studio 3807 and the Gateway Arts District.”
In addition to serving as the operator of Savor at 3807, April Richardson’s Delectable Cakery will operate a stall serving baked goods, coffee and American fare. Additional vendors include Sauce, a fast casual concept specializing in healthy eats; Commune Cocktail, which will offer specialty cocktails and small plates; and Relish and Agora, an indoor farmer’s market.
Studio 3807 is a mixed-use development located at 3807 Rhode Island Avenue (Gateway Arts District, Brentwood, Maryland. The community includes 147 apartments, the 6300 square foot Savor at 3807 and 3000 square feet of artist studio space. The building is currently in lease up and will be open in August, 2018.
